It's been a while since I last noticed a female recording artist who's got her own style and identity. Lately, seems like everyone is just another Britney or Beyonce or Kelly Clarkson and despite of the amazing talent, they just have nothing else to offer to the public. I find Gwen Stefani unique and no one else could pull off such style except for her. Now here comes a rising star who, like Gwen is creating her own culture and art. Lady GaGa looks weird right, but what I liked about her is her sense of creativity and innovation. She's got her gaga fashion, gaga dancing, gaga singing and gaga presence.
Lady Gaga dresses outrageously from the bowtie hair to the tv shades, face paint, futuristic outfit down to the uber-high platform heels in all of her performances and public appearances but underneath this crazy fashion is a huge talent. I just love her powerful voice and the way she modulates it plus, her live performances are amazing - seems as if she is not getting tired while singing and dancing at the same time. She's just got the powerful stage presence that gets me hooked to the screen the whole time.
Gaga rose to fame after earning two Billboard#1 hits - Just Dance and Poker Face and from there, she going more in demand and why not? I find her really talented and artistic. I belive there are lots out there who think she's over the top, hilarious and crazy but hey, that's what her name suggests, okay. Some others say she's another 'Christina Aguilera' that which I do not believe. They might share the same hair color and height but Christina started off with a girl-next-door image and evolved to be wilder through time. Christina experimented but this girl didn't need to pretend and test the waters - she came in perfect timing with what the teens and tweens are raving for right now. Thanks to Akon for bringing her out into the music scene. She's got nothing else more to prove than her staying power which I believe won't be impossible since she worked her way hard to success - writing her own music at 13 and strted performing at 14 and now she's out to the world, bringing a new flavor and new music.
