A possible extra source of income

Last Friday, I signed myself up to become a member of Front Row Enterprises Inc. It's some sort or a multi-level marketing or others would call it 'networking' but I'd rather label it as a commission-based reselling.

According to the testimonies, many people have already hit big with Front Row. A friend of a friend introduced me to it. We met up and she gave me a long seminar which I kind of almost appreciated if it hadn't took 3 hours to end. Seriously - it lasted 3 hours cause her presentation was very detailed and she gave me her background check before starting the presentation proper.

To be honest, networking businesses have earned such a bad reputation in the country. I was familiar with former MLMs which ended up bankrupt and closed after a while. I was never interested in joining such kind of side jobs before but with Front Row, I didn't even thought twice. The package was enough to convince me to join even if I needed to shed out Php 9,888 right away.

I'm such a wellness bum. I like going to spas and parlors to pamper myself either by massage, sauna, foot and hand spa, body scrub, and other services. I've also written before about the different kinds of supplements I take to keep me looking right at my age which included grape seed extracts and vitamin E. These are just some of the inclusive packages that Front Row offers. They have glutathione packages, L-Carnitine shots and packages, Diamond Peeling, Grape Seed Extract shots and packages, spa packages, acne treatment packages, and discounts and perks and etc. This was the reason why I immediately joined. It's not going to be a big deal if I don't hit it big - I just wish to try since I get something in return anyways. There is nothing to lose really but of course, I'd like to earn for myself and to help my team and my friend in my upline also.

I am yet to become an official member. I just need to get my ID and website log in then I can start selling and earning. Actually, as early as now, I've been kind of recruiting some of my friends for it though they don't seem interested in it. I wish to get them listed right below my name for them to earn bigger. Say like P9,888 is too expensive, or they do not have much time to sell and drop by the office, or whatever. I was thinking like there's no such thing as instant success just like what some envision. If one puts up a business, they must couple it with a hefty amount of sacrifice, whether be financial or intellectual, or time, or whatever and soon realize that money earned from hardwork is the sweetest thing on earth.

Whatever happens with my venture in Front Row, I am going to be fine. I'm just too excited to get my spa package :)

The Best Acne Cream

Acne sounds like 'ugly.' Sorry to say that but no one would like to have zits all over their face right? Acne is a common problem to teens but if you've passed your 20s and still can not get rid of then might as well consider some sort of medication or at least immediate treatment.

But treatments cost a lot of money and time. That's why others resort to using over-the-counter products with benzoyl peroxide which actually does more harm than good and I mean that and I would NEVER apply such products on my skin.

Thanks I'm spared with acne but if I had it, I would personally like an acne product that cleanses my skin gently, prevents the spread of acne, and leave my skin looking fresh and clean forever.

The least I could do to help others is to write about the Best Acne Treatment. The best acne treatment for one is not the best acne treatment for all. I would recommend that one gets to know his/her skin type before determining which acne treatment product to use. So go browse http://www.acnecream.com/ and educate yourself.

Online Shopping - revisited

I've always expressed my love for online shopping. Sure, there are other surprises when I go to shop in the malls but because of my 'hectic' schedule, I'd rather shop online where I can have an overview of all the nice products in a snap and with a few clicks away, just wait for the products to be delivered right in front of my doorstep.

I've been good in encouraging my friends to go shop online. Aside from the boom of Korean music, Korean apparel are also so in right now, as well as Japanese goodies. I started shopping for Korean and Japan imported items since July and so far, I'm enjoying them. They're so cute, colorful, and really great to wear for a day out for drinks with my favorite people. I love the fabrics and the prices are affordable. The only downfall is that I'd have to wait since these items are available in pre-order status only. For Korean and Japanese apparel, I usually order from Sparkleshop - her prices are a little bit cheaper that the other sellers offering the same clothes.
Here are some of the purchases I made from her:

a nice black top great to wear for a dinner date

a pretty dress; i love its fabric - really comfortable to wear for coffee at Starbs

I wore this top to a mixer party. It was really pretty in person and the flowers were lovely.

this is such a sexy top; it hugs your body. I've been thinking of wearing this for a nearing karaoke night with my pals

I have the black thing though I ordered for the blue one hehe

I have the pink tee. The feel of the chiffon fabric was amazing. The ribbon was such an attention-seeker though

This green top is actually checkered up close. It's really pretty but hard to wear - zip locks are at the entire back portion

This is my favorite of all the items. This tailored jacket revs up any boring getup

For dresses, I usually browse through CNJ Co.'s album. Her products are Bangkok dresses. I've ordered for these items but I have to say she offers really simple yet sexy, sophisticated dresses that can't usually be found locally.

My first purchase from her is this geometric dress. I loved the fabric and fit so I ordered once again...

... for this violet ruffled dress. I love her dresses and will definitely check out her album when I need a quick fashion fix.

These bags I got from Sofistiqueinc at multiply also. The grey bag resembles Chanel which I really adore. And the white bag seen above is really lovely. I wear it a lot anywhere cause it's very versatile and a lot of items can fit inside such handy size.

I don't usually buy shoes because of the no return policy. I fear for wasted money if the shoe doesn't fit me or doesn't look nice on my feet. But I just couldn't get enough with this sweetheart of a shoe - a flat peep-toe mary janes which I love to pair with a dress or jeans:

This one was available at InStyleOnlineFashion.multiply.com. She still has lots of adorable shoes available on pre-order basis. It's worth the wait really!

Casual wears are nice finds at theposhwardrobe.multiply.com and because they are nice casuals, I ordered them right away so I was not able to save the pics anymore. Anyways, I adore the long grey cardigan, magenta embridered blouse, and short white tube dress.

Aside from apparel, I also do online shopping for my pet dog's needs. I usually visit mysassypuppy.com and petnessandbeauty.com. More of that I will be discussing on his blog :)

I'd have to say though that amogst all these sellers, my favorites are CNJ Co. and The Posh Wardrobe. Why? Because they accept payments through PayPal. Yes. Most sellers accept bank deposit payments, G-Cash, and money trasfers but PayPal is my preferred mode of payment. It's the most convenient and reliable.

Online shopping is my comfort zone. Well every girl loves shopping and for busy ladies like myself who has no much time to come to the mall, e-shopping is like a reward for being a hardworking and patient girl. Hardworking in the sense that I go search for the best finds, best deals online, and patient in such a way that I go wait as long as a month for my orders to arrive :)

Year-end wishlist

Soon, I will be getting some bonuses, yearend bonuses from work. Last year, I invested on a DS Lite, a dog, a digital camera, lots of shopping, and recreation with my friends. I have to say that I got quite excited with all the money earned from hardwork throughout the entire year so I needed to reward myself.

This year is no different from last year - I still have to reward myself of course because I am feeling drained and sick of the day to day routine at the office. If I can't be able to enjoy some time off, then I would just spend some money on other things. Although I have contemplated on saving the entire amount for the rainy days, sadly, it wouldn't happen as I intended it to be.

My family is one of the hundreds of thousands of families affected by the typhoon Ondoy last September and because of Ondoy, my month-old car got submerged in flood. I couldn't exactly count the hours it was submerged but although it didn't reach more than 24 hours, a heavy amount of damage has been done. My father sent the car for repair after two days. We thought it would get repaired in a week but no - it's still on the process of being restored until now. Basically, the experts still could not point why there's still no electricity. Well, shit really happens but it was just recently when the tragic typhoon's wrath sank into my mind. And for this reason, I wouldn't be able to buy a new phone. I had to share some amount for the car repair which was waaaaay pricey.

Anyways, I am also getting quite fatter. So I've been thinking whether to buy a Nintendo Wii or enroll myself to a gym. I don't know which is the best gym here. I'm not really intending to attain a certain body shape and weight, I just wanted some sort of excercise so if couldn't select a gym, I would just buy a Wii and a Wii Fit set. With these, I'll enjoy and get healthier at the same time.

If there would be extra blessings, I might put that into my savings account.

openFT installation

I always encounter issues with openFT installation, CMX in particular.
I would oftentimes get failed dpendencies for CMX installation like:
[root@host ~]# ./install.cmx
error: Failed dependencies:
ld-linux.so.2 is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libc.so.6 is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libdl.so.2 is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libdl.so.2(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libdl.so.2(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libpthread.so.0 is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by CMX-J-6.0A10-04.i386

All my glibc and gcc packages were installed anyway but after minutes of tedious workaround, I found out that this needs to be installed on the machine:
x86-compat-libs-7.1-4.i386.rpm

I didn't expect that it would be significant since the architecture is x86_64 but there's no harm in trying so I downloaded the package from rhn and installed and then tried cmx installtion for openFT:

[root@ATPREW01 openft_cd_minimal]# sh install.cmx
ldconfig: /usr/lib64/libftp.so.3 is not a symbolic link

#### Start the CMX daemons.

As you see, there's a little catch but this one is easy to resolve. Just look if file /usr/lib64/libftp.so.3 exists. If it does, rename it and then make a link for it Example:
mv /usr/lib64/libftp.so.3 /usr/lib64/libftp.so.3OLD
then
ln -s /usr/lib64/libftp.so.3OLD /usr/lib64/libftp.so.3
That's it. You're ready to install openFT and ftam.

Read-only file system

I stumbled upon a read-only file system and since I was too lazy to call up someone, I ended up fixing the problem alone. Good thing I wasn't overcame by fear since the server I was troubleshooting was one of our corporate Linux boxes based on DK headquarters.

All right, I was deploying some new modules when my scp was being refused a million times.

[root@remote]# scp Package.tar.gz root@remote:/home
root@remote's password:
scp: /home/
Package.tar.gz: Read-only file system

It is clear that the receiving server is on a read-only file system. There are many references online but this one worked best:

[root@remote ]# mount -o remount,rw /
mount: block device /dev/sda3 is write-protected, mounting read-only
--> I remounted the read-only device

And then reboot the server...

It would take a while before the box comes back up but as soon as your SSH gets accepted, issue this command:

[root@remote log]# mount |grep $(df -k . |tail -1 |awk '{ print $NF }')
/dev/sda3 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)
/dev/sda1 on /boot type ext3 (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)

Basically it summarizes access grants given for each device. Given status 'rw' means file system is already on read-write mode and therefore, sending, copying, or writing files becomes possible again.

Let' try scp again...

[root@remote]# scp Package.tar.gz root@10.3.1.142:/home/
root@remote's password:
Package.tar.gz 100% 672KB 84.0KB/s 00:08

Forced fsck

A couple of days ago, I encountered an issue in one of the Linux production servers. That was the usual issue where du reports a healthy disk space while mysql complains of not being able to do write due to a full disk space. I was not really familiar with doing an fsck until this situation and found out that it was quite a simple procedure.

To do it:
cd /
touch /forcefsck
reboot

For viewing remote servers, you can use IPMI console or whatever is available.
The tip is learn to do it for the right reasons only.

Find the best web hosting solutions

Having your own domain is very important, especially if you are into business or blogging. There is an even tighter competition nowadays compared before since there are more websites and more users. There are also more website hosting providers which makes users more confused of which to purchase. I would like a provider that promises security and reliability over other things and I think mostly anyone also would.

I had one bad experience with a web hosting provider which I prefer not to name. As a user, it is my duty and responsibility to regularly pay them because no one else would suffer in the long run except for myself. I was just surprised to realize that the site is not working anymore for a few days and the reason was failure to pay on my side which I really did not accept at all since my payments were well documented. After a few hours of discussion, it appeared that it was their system which failed to reflect the payments thus, they immediately restored the site back to its normal operation. I'm thankful that they supported me but it was also disappointing to be accused of neglecting such important matters when in fact I really did not incur any liability at all. That was one bad story that I do not wish anyone to suffer.

That's why I'm writing about webhostingrating.com. I wish to share to readers out there about the fact that they can rely on this site for their web hosting needs. Stats gathered by webhostingrating.com are from customers therefore we can get the services that we really wanted without so much of a hassle of looking into other references. The customers have spoken themselves through webhostingrating.com.

If you are not yet decided or convinced with applying for your own domain, read through and realize the benefits of having your own domain. Soon, you will be convinced and probably secure a reliable web hosting solution.

New weekly habit

It's been a little of a 'resolution' for me to update this blog timely, regularly, weekly to be exact. There's a slight revision in the marketplaces' terms and conditions where the blogger must regularly update his blog prior to a sponsored post for it to be accepted. It's not really much of a problem for anyone but for me? I'm super busy nowadays. I have a full time job, I need to pet my dog, and other than these, there are extra activities that I needed to attend to so there. I missed the way it used to be, I mean before, in the marketplace, I really didn't have to update this blog as much as I can and yet, I gained a lot especially during the months of July and August. But now, competition in the marketplace is really tough because of the stricter terms and more bloggers available at cheaper prices. Whew.

Hooked on...

Philippinepetfinder

Since I registered for this online pet resource, I visit it everyday. It's not really necessary that I browse the entire site daily or answer forums momentarily. I just like to read some relevant articles. It also serves somewhat of a comfort zone since I get to interact with people of the same interest - pets and other than that, we also get to discuss different topics though I just participate on those I feel interesting like movies, TV, music, and food. Of all the online pet-related fora, this site seems to be more matino because people are more humble, got better sense of humor, got a much better sense of thought, more emphatic, way more knowledgeable and more ethical. Well, some other forum participants in other sites seem to just brag about their pets, the things they spend daily, some people reply irrelevantly, some seem to display arrogance in terms of their knowledge and some even lose patience and get offended which is I think not really supposed to happen in a friendly online neighborhood. Basta I find this the best online pet resource because they keep it cool.

Showbiz sites - pep.ph, pinoyparazzi.com, stir.ph, omg.yahoo.com, eonline.com

I don't know, I just got fetish over entertainment news. I don't really have much of an 'idol,' I just find celebrities' lives amusing. I mean, they make a nice topic of conversation hehe.. so I better get a nice lead over anyone in the biz.

Tayong Dalawa

Hmmmn.. I used to scrutinize this series as it started airing because I thought it was corny and would make me fall asleep. One night, I was watching tv, I just switch channels during commercial breaks and little by little, I've started watching this series and I just realized that I was aleady watching it daily! The story got nicer because of the military angle and, it's got a great casting. Everyone seems tailor fit for their roles so maybe I'll continue watching this until the final episode.

Hazelnut Mocha Frappuccino

I can't get over it. Sometimes I'm realizing that I'm not supposed to go beyond my daily allowance but I can't help missing out on my daily dose of Hazelnut Mocha Frap. It's simply yummy and I've set the best personal record on gulping a cup the quickest time possible. The cream, the chocolate sauce, and the smooth, cold texture with a hint of hazelnut makes the entire cup irresistible. How long can I hold this addiction?

Multiply

I've been very regular in logging in to multiply to check for updates from my colleagues. It's been a year since I started shopping with multiply and I never got disappointed with my purchases. The great thing about online shopping is I get to see all the items in one glance and from there, I can compare them one by one and conclude which I prefer. It makes shopping easier and though I cannot fit the items, at least I get to pick the prettiest in the pack. Right now I'm waiting for a couple of tops and two bags. They're pre-ordered and it's my first time to purchase on a pre-order basis. I'm still scared considering that I might have been scammed but hopefully not. The sellers I know have been there long enough to draw the shortest cuts in securing their pre-order items. I trust them. They're highly-recommended.

Movies

I remember back in college, there was a time when I didn't have classes during Wednesdays. Usually, Wednesdays would mark the release of new movies. So my boyfriend would pick me up and then we'd go see a movie, just whatever, regardless of the story or the cast. Lucky us if there is a good release but if not, we'd proceed to playing at Timezone. Until now, we still love going out for movies. The latest we saw was Public Enemies and it's really good. It's one of the best movies I've seen. The picture, editing, sound, direction, and cast is totally amazing. And we're also loving the cinemas at Promenade Greenhills compared to other theaters in the metro.

Skin Care

It wasn't really much of a priority until I caught mosquito marks which turned quite dark that seemed in need of some sort of treatment. Hmmn. I wouldn't like the idea of going to the derma often. Aside from the cost, time is also involved and my convenience would definitely suffer. So I did some research, interviews and got to a bottom line - Kojic soap and Grape Seed Extract and yeah, they're effective really. Kojic soap lightened the mosquito marks. Actually, they're no longer visible and I liked the fact that my skin asthma condition also improved. Just like the mosquito marks, they're no longer visible too :) Grape Seed Extract is some sort of an internal supplement- an anti-oxydant to be exact. I think I've written about it before.
Well I'm just glad. People say I've got a different glow now and I appreciate it. Looking better so why stop?

Food tripping

Any kind of it. I appreciate food a lot, especially Filipino dishes. I do diet of course, but I do not starve myself. It's like I would eat a huge lunch but never eat for the rest of the day and still feel okay. I find solitude in good food. At home, we'd usually order for pizza, cakes, chicken, pasta, and etc to make the day tastier. It's been also a regular routine for me and my PG boyfriend to scout for old and new delicacies from different restaus that we can afford. During our scout for the best steaks, we went as far as Tagaytay only to realize that the same restau's got a branch at the Mall of Asia but no regrets at all cause the weather at Tagaytay made dining more enjoyable. During our latest date last Friday, we went to Grilla for the first time (too late huh) and they've got one of the best sisigs in town. I like cakes, ice cream, burgers, lechon, sisig, bulalo, shrimps, crabs, and gulping up iced tea. Domino's make the best pizza, Brother's Burger grill the juiciest and tastiest burgers, Max's fry the best chicken, Arce Dairy chills the creamiest ice cream, Old Spaghetti House cater the best tasting pastas, and Dad's serve the best of everything but amongst my favorite restaurants are Outback, Congo Grille, and Guava. Dining made a big influence in his steer for culinary arts and one day, he will be the one serving me and he better be a good chef by then.

Also keeping me busy nowadays is playing, Mario Kart DS to be exact. I don't know. I just can't sleep without playing it hehe. Of all the games, I wonder how this one got me hooked on. Mario's really got a sparking charisma for people of all ages. Imagine, I'm already 21 and still find interest in Super Mario and his other brands. Oh well. It just makes me wanna get a Wii soon but no. I refuse to feed my materialism nowadays hehe. There are more important things to prioritize.

Ride it cool

I can't imagine riding a vehicle without an AC during summer. Even if I'm not sweating, someone else inside would and once I get into my destination, I feel like it's already the end of the day. Yeah, freshness is gone and you'd feel the stress with it. Summer days make anyone need the AC more than ever, especially in the vehicle. Even if your ride is not as 'good as new', at least the temperature must be cool.

If you feel the need of changing your auto's air conditioning system, better go to www.1airconditioning.com. They got all your AC needs in store such as Air conditioning compressors,Air conditioning Condensers, Air conditioning Evaporators, Driers or Expansion Devices. Rest assured that their items are of high quality and comes with a warranty plus free shipping all over. You can also consult their technical support for assistance on their wide selection of parts. So don't go nowhere else cause everything you would need is here.

HARD-DISK Woman:

She remembers everything, FOREVER.

She is good for nothing but at least she is fun!

INTERNET Woman:

Difficult to access.

SERVER Woman:

Always busy when you need her.

MULTIMEDIA Woman:

She makes horrible things look beautiful.

CD-ROM Woman:

She is always faster and faster.

E-MAIL Woman:

Every ten things she says, eight are nonsense.

&

VIRUS Woman:

Also known as "WIFE"; when you are not expecting her, she comes, installs herself and uses all your resources. If you try to uninstall her you will lose something, if you don't try to uninstall her you will lose everything.

This is something I lifted from my favorite online forum - philippinepetfinder.com's off-topics section. I found it quite interesting how men can derive for the different types of women from computer terms especially storage devices. I find myself like the hard disk type. Well, that's the most relevant as I see myself but my boyfriend would probably describe me as a screensaver by which I would definitely agree too hehe.

FHM PH sexiest of 2009

It's Cristine Reyes for the Philippines! The name alone suggests hotness in all angles. Yeah, I believe that she's really sexy in every bit of the word. Her most striking feature is her flawless skin - skin so smooth all over with a rosy-white glow. Yeah, unlike the typical yellowish skin which others conceive as 'fair', Cristine's color is healthy and not pale so the moment you see her, you'll just be amazed by her presence. I also like her figure. Her shape is rather enticingly proportional than voluptuous. The size of her chest and hips equally accentuates her tiny waist in a sexy, not trashy manner. I find her presence magical and she's really got a whole lot of sex appeal that made men glue to her series Eva Fonda despite of its lack of artistry, hehe.

More than her FHM poll victory, this lady also reigns in intrigues. I mean, there's a lot going on about her, there's a lot of buzz since she started in showbiz through Starstruck 1 up to the issues involving her love life, family, career, and showbiz clique now. She's in and out of the tabloids and showbiz websites but she's still there. Well, tv executives find her too tough to handle but she may be hard to let go because of her oozing appeal to men of all ages. I don't really know her personally and I don't care if others dislike her 'attitude problem' or her being 'pasaway' and 'maldita' but I definitely agree - she possesses one of the best bods in local tv (including Diana Zubiri, Daiana Menezes, and Marian Rivera).

Anyways, the whole list is yet to be revealed. Though it includes Marian Rivera, Angel Locsin, the equally controversial Katrina Halili, Ehra Madrigal (another hottie), Iwa Moto, Anne Curtis, and Bangs Garcia.

Dog Shampoo

Is your dog itching, scratching and stinking beyond belief?

Do you?

Wash your dog one day, just to have the stink return the next?
Wait weeks between bathing your dog because his skin gets so dry and flaky?
Hate bathing your dog because you rinse and rinse and rinse...and still can't get him completely rinsed?

Need help?

We better know that all those chemical-based dog shampoos would do more harm than good to our loving companion's coat. And what's worse is that there are not much all-natural and effective products out there. But all our worries will end if only we would use Dogosuds for our furry friends.

I bathe my dog once a week. It's fair enough but I have to confess, he's kinda stinky in the middle of the week. He's been using a considerably expensive brand but is not powerful enough to keep his coat smelling oh so fresh all week long. And my biggest complain is that I still catch fleas! I feel for him whenever I catch him scratching :( but no matter how much I would want to bathe him more often, I'm worried with irritation it might cause to his skin.

There are really not much nice
dog shampoo brands out here, all promises and me, along with my forum-mates have been looking for better alternatives. Our priorities are simple: natural, fragrant, long-lasting, and provides protection to external pests.

Why not try the all natural dog shampoo Dogosuds ® made by Dinovite, Inc.

Why not! There's no harm in trying. I've studied the ingredients of this shampoo and am amazed with the all-natural elements including coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, yucca, aloe, lavender, rosemary and more. These are natural ingredients - not the hundred-times processed chemicals that seem to brittle our pet's fur. It also comes in different scents, all well loved by owners and pets alike such as lavender and peppermint which lasts long enough until our dogs crave for the next bath time. It's suited for all breeds so we wouldn't have to worry if we've got many pets at home plus, it's easy to rinse! Less waste of water despite of the lavish bubbles. Pests would surely not find their ideal lifestyle in a squeeky-clean dog's coat right, so our worries are all gone!

Isn't it time for that new dog smell? :) Come on and grab Dogosuds now before you think of giving up on dog shampoos.
